It is just after midnight here in St. Pete and we will be heading to the airport in just a few hours.
This week has been absolutely incredible and our team has been absolutely amazing with non-stop energy and love for so many children. During our time in Lopuhinka we were able to meet some new friends, reconnect with old friends and see God working in so many different ways. The last few days of the week we spent in Volkhav with some very precious children. There are so many pictures to share and stories to tell.
Please pray for us as we will be traveling from 6am Monday morning (that's 9pm Sunday night in Houston) through about 2pm Houston time. Pray for our transition these next few days back to work and family and the life God has called us to in Texas. But, mostly pray that we will be able to effectively communicate to each of you the way we saw God at work and the stories of these beautiful children.
I encourage anyone who took a prayer card for one of our team members to be sure to contact them soon so that you can personally hear about their experience and what God is doing in Russia. We truly count it a privilege to share with you about the children we have been blessed to meet!

A view into what God is doing through the people of Grand Parkway Church as we follow His commands to pray, send and go.
Missions, at the core of its definition, is a sending out of people with authority to share the amazing news of Jesus Christ.
When you look at it that way, it's what we're all called to do as Christians. In Jesus' famous words at the end of the Gospel of Matthew, he says to His followers that as they are going into the world, He wants them to make disciples of people in all nations and to baptize them and teach them to follow Jesus. We do that as we shop or exercise or work as teachers or doctors or accountants. There are also times that we should step out of our routine and go to one of those nations, especially those where there are many people who have yet to hear the name "Jesus."
At Grand Parkway, we believe that missions is not an option.
We also believe that God has led us to some incredible opportunities to go to our city and to our world and use the gifts and talents He's given in order to live out the passionate plan Jesus has for making sure the nations hear of His name and truth.
